YPN Announces ‘Night In Havana’ Event

The Young Professionals Network (YPN) of CABOR is hosting a Night in Havana July 13 at Whiskey Island. Proceeds will benefit RPAC. The Committee has always supported the RPAC Auction, but wanted to step up their game this year and do something uniquely “YPN.”

The event will feature a Pig Roast, cash bar and a DJ, but the real fun will be the games. There will be a dunk tank, a photo booth, jousting, cornhole, volleyball, a cigar tent and more. Agents can even bribe officials to have someone taken to “Guantanamo Bay” where they’ll have to raise bail to get out. “It’s going to be a blast,” said Rich Ganim, YPN Chairman. “It’s a great way to support our industry. We want to see 300 agents there.”

Brokers and offices can support the event by sponsoring hospitality tents for their agents. “This concept is totally new,” said Joe Dirk who chairs the Planning Committee. “The Brokers I know want to support these events, but traditional sponsorships aren’t necessarily beneficial to their business models. This way brokers can do something for their agents, build team spirit and compete against other companies all at the same time. It’s a no-brainer.” Companies are encouraged to stock their tent and decorate it with the Cuban theme.
