RPAC 101 – What is RPAC?

RPAC is the REALTORS® Political Action Committee. Since 1969, RPAC has promoted the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates across the United States. The purpose of RPAC is clear: REALTORS® raise and spend money to elect candidates who understand and support their interests. The money to accomplish this comes from voluntary contributions made by REALTORS®. These are not members’ dues; this is money given freely by REALTORS® in recognition of how important campaign fundraising is to the political process.

Does that mean that RPAC buys votes? NO! Make no mistake, most candidates and officeholders are honorable people whose votes are not for sale. RPAC contributes to candidates who are knowledgeable and fair and who will at least listen to the REALTORS® point of view. In short, RPAC gives our voice the volume it needs when advocating for issues important to you and your clients.
