Advocating for You: ACAR Reps attend Parma State of the City
On February 26, 2018, several members of ACAR attended Parma Mayor Tim DeGeeter’s State of the City address.
About the meeting, ACAR member Vito Dipierro said, “It was a pleasure to see ACAR legislative committee members and other Realtors at the Parma State of the City Address. As a councilman and a Realtor, I cannot stress the importance of getting involved in your local government, your opinion matters. Realtors make a positive impact on communities by advocating for property owner’s rights and sound policies. We are very fortunate to have strong leadership and an active local board in, ACAR.”
In addition to gaining insight about the city’s successes and challenges, being present at community meetings like this, allows ACAR to connect with other community leaders and elected officials. This, in turn, helps us promote not only the association’s work and policy positions, but also shines light on the important role Realtors® play in all of our municipalities.
ACAR member Chris Kilbane said, “As a REALTOR, meetings like this show me a city has true potential to grow economically and socially, when all parties collaboratively works together in a community like we saw on Monday.”
