ACAR Mourns Loss of Past President

ACAR Officers, Directors, Staff and members are mourning the loss of former AABOR Past President Roger Owen.  Roger was 87 years old.  He served as President of the Akron Area Board of REALTORS (AABOR) in 1978. 

Roger graduated of Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1949 and from Denison University  He also served in the U.S. Army. Roger’s 60-year real estate career culminated with the development a two major business parks that set the gold standard in the Seminole County. In addition to serving in leadership at AABOR, he was Past President of Kiwanis and Rotary and served as a member of Mentor (SCPS), and the Silver Lake and Tuscawilla County Clubs. 

“Although long since retired and living in Florida, Roger made it a point to attend Past President luncheons as often as he could. His charm and smile were always front and center,”  ACAR CEO Sandy Naragon remembers.
