Commercial Information Exchange
ACAR is pleased to offer the Commercial Information Exchange (CIE) powered by Catylist. Launching May 1, 2019, the CIE is a full commercial property database and listing service for Northeast Ohio. ACAR is partnering with Catylist to bring you the leading software designed to empower commercial professionals by increasing market exposure of commercial listings to brokers and the public.
Many commercial professionals in Northeast Ohio have attended demonstrations and webinars for the Catylist system and the reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. We are committed to bringing you the newest technology for our commercial listing and marketing platform.
Access is only offered to real estate licensees, economic development organizations, and appraisers. All Member-provided data is 100% accessible by the general public. Click here to view the list of firms who have committed to using the CIE.
The Catylist system gives commercial practitioners all the benefits of local control and national exposure. In addition to properties in Northeast Ohio the CIE also extends nationally through Catylist’s expansive network of commercial listing services. This powerful, easy-to-use technology is always evolving based on subscriber suggestions, and works great on all browsers and devices. The CIE is more than just a listing service: It’s a networking, communication, and collaboration platform. Finally, Catylist is known for their outstanding customer service and commitment to responsiveness.

National Public Website for Commercial Property Search
The public can access the CIE property database which contains active listing data submitted by Participants. Each Participant’s consent for display of their listing data is presumed unless request to “opt out” is provided in writing. A Participant that opts out may not display on its public web site (including by framing any other website), the listing of any other CIE Participant.

CIE vs. MLS
The primary difference between a property database like the CIE and an MLS is that the CIE includes an inventory of all properties whether listed or not.
As a property database, the CIE does not require an offer of compensation. This issue will need to be negotiated between brokers. The filing of information with the CIE by a Participant acting on behalf of a seller or lessor does not, in and of itself, constitute an offer of cooperation. Any Participant, or licensee with a Participant wishing to cooperate in the marketing of the property must contact the filing Participant to determine the type of cooperation offered, the compensation offered (if any) and the terms and conditions upon which the property being offered may be shown.
In addition to the CIE, REALTOR® members also have access to RPR Commercial. RPR Commercial is your one-stop-shop for comprehensive market data, allowing REALTORS® specializing in commercial properties to save time and money. It is your REALTOR® benefit, already incorporated into your REALTOR® dues.Visit RPR Commercial
Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the coverage area for ACAR’s CIE?
