The Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS, a newly merged 4,600 member Board effective between October 15 and November 1, 2013, is seeking applications for its Chief Executive Officer position. The successful candidate will have demonstrated exceptional administrative, financial and personnel management skills and will be responsible for the administration of ACAR’s 4,600 member association. The position requires some national and state travel as well as routine travel in and around ACAR’s membership jurisdiction in the Akron Cleveland area. The candidate must have an ability to implement a proactive approach to member services. The CEO is responsible for overseeing the preparation and execution of the annual budget of the ACAR.
Community outreach and media relations experience is required. The successful candidate will recommend and assist in formulation of new policies, modifications of existing policies and make decisions within existing policies. Candidates for this position must have experience managing staff. The CEO assists the Board of Directors in the formulation of annual and long-range goals of the Association and the conversion of these goals to specific functions.
The CEO must maintain consistent, clear, and concise communication with officers and staff while developing and maintaining business relationships with the President, Board of Directors, committee chair people and staff. Through the application of sound management practices and business principles, the CEO should achieve economical, productive performance, dynamic programming and constructive growth.
