Meet our New Team Member
Hello Everyone! My name is Emily Krumlauf, and I am proud to introduce myself as the communications coordinator for Akron Cleveland Association of Realtors or ACAR.
To talk briefly about my background, I grew up in a small but rapidly growing town called Streetsboro, with my mother, father, older sister, and younger brother. In my spare time I enjoyed playing soccer, snowboarding, and hiking. My family and I are very big into the outdoors, which means family vacations were always spent in the woods.
I am in my last year at The University of Akron, and will be graduating in May 2015 with my Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing Management. My degree coursework has prepared me with the skills and knowledge to preform and execute the tasks ahead, presented by ACAR. My creativity and innovation equips me with the abilities to be successful in this new position. I feel that marketing is the creative side of business, and this is what drew me to my major. I have found a variety of different mediums as outlets for my creativity; with writing and graphic design as two of them. Another strength I present to this organization is my student mentality. Since the position is new, there is a lot to learn and I am ready for the challenge. My desire to learn and passion for knowledge equips me with ability to continue to learn and grow in my position, and with ACAR. Although a higher education was not emphasized in my household growing up, I have worked two jobs to put myself through college the past five years, and I would not have it any other way. Through this I have become independent and grateful for everything I have. The knowledge I have gained and will continue to collect has made all my hard work pay off.
After speaking with Mike Valerino and Sandy Naragon, I am very excited to be a member of this team. The positive energy they emitted when talking about the staff and members has made me overjoyed to work for ACAR. I greatly appreciate the opportunity presented to me as communications coordinator. I know with my abilities and collaboration with co-workers, ACAR will be able to effectively communicate who we are, what we do, and what we stand for.
