INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (Oct. 21, 2015) – Officials from the Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS® signed a lease agreement for more than 6,500 square-feet of new office space last Wednesday at its annual ACAR Real Estate Expo in Akron, Ohio. The new office, will be located at 9100 South Hills Blvd. in the South Hills Office Park located off of I-77 in Broadview Heights, Ohio.
“We’re excited to have the opportunity to develop one centrally located office that meets all of our current needs, while allowing for future ones,” stated David Browning, Facilities Task Force chair for ACAR. “The new space was carefully planned with our design partner Vocon to reflect the layout we were seeking – from the REALTOR® Essentials store to a multi-use boardroom.”
The new facility will be the central location for staff, consolidating both the existing Independence and Akron, Ohio, offices. The Independence office is closing prior to Dec. 31 and a timeline for the Akron office has not been established yet. Demolition of the existing space will begin in November and build-out is scheduled for December through early January. The proposed move-in date is anticipated to be late-January, early February.
“Bringing together these two associations has allowed our collective group to truly be the voice of real estate throughout our region,” said Sally Johnson, president of ACAR. “As we grow the association, we want to make sure we have the best facilities and resources available for our staff and for our members and partners. The new office in Broadview Heights will have all up-to-date furniture, equipment, a continuing education and learning center, business bar and sitting areas for members and so much more!”
The Akron Area Board of REALTORS® and the Cleveland Area Board of REALTORS® merged nearly two years ago to form the Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS® (ACAR) – expanding its reach, coverage, education and service offerings for its more than 5,000 members across Northeast Ohio.
