Vote No on Issues 25 and 26 in Broadview Heights

Earlier this summer, Broadview Heights City Council passed an ordinance that places two local issues on the General Election ballot.

  • Issue 25 - Proposed Zoning Amendment - "Shall Chapters 1264 and 1270 of the Codified Ordinances and zone map of the City of Broadview Heights be amended to remove the B-1 Zoning Classification (townhouse condominiums/detached or attached single family housing)?"
  • Issue 26 - Proposed Zoning Amendment - "Shall Chapters 1264 and 1270 of the Codified Ordinances and zone map of the City of Broadview Heights be amended to remove the B-2 Zoning Classification (townhouse condominiums/detached or attached single family housing)?"

The Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS (ACAR) recommends a "No" vote on these two measures.  With record housing inventory shortages, now is not the time to ban desirable and often more affordable housing options for young adults and those seeking to downsize or find a home with less maintenance.
