Last summer, the City of Green began the process of updating its Exterior Property Maintenance Code. Many members of the public, including the Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS (ACAR), attended public hearings to share concerns about the language originally proposed. After many rounds of amendments, at its November 8, 2022, meeting, the Green City Council passed the ordinance amending that particular section of the code.
Real estate professionals should note that the ordinance does have a section pertaining to transfer ownership. You can access the final approved version here.
