Diverse Demographics: Bias & Micro Messages: Working with Buyers & Sellers

In this course, students will learn how to better understand the diversity and changing demographics in today's society including buyers and sellers of real estate -- residential as well as commercial.  We will learn what diversity actually means and why bringing together people with different cultures, experiences and backgrounds can generate new ideas and perspective. 

We will learn about our own preconceptions and misconceptions; that we all have biases and how we can learn to interrupt our biases.  This course will introduce students to the Identity Wheel.  Further exploration of our interpersonal skills includes impacts of interpersonal bias in everyday life, micro aggressions, intent v impact....for Real Estate Professionals, our 'workplace' is our interactions the home buying and selling public as well as consumers of commercial real estate.
