Global Real Estate:  Local Markets course a the prerequisite course for the CIPS Designation. 

Did you know that the total international sales in U.S. residential properties totaled $75 billion from April 2019 through March 2020?  And that figure is a 5% decline from the previous 12 month period according to an NAR survey!  Buyers from five countries accounted for 49% of the dollar volume of purchases. 

These five countries are China, Canada, Colombia, India and Mexico.  For the seventh consecutive year, China exceeded all other countries in dollar volume of purchases buying an estimated $11.5 billion worth of residential property!  This introductory course offers students an overview of the international real estate business environment, including capital flow, currencies, government regulations and cultures.  Topics including international brokerage, networking, marketing, and selling will be discussed.
