About YPN

In a field that is a second career for many people, younger real estate practitioners often strive for a way to connect with each other and tap into valuable resources that will help them gain business savvy and succeed.

REALTOR® Magazine launched the Young Professionals Network (YPN) in 2006 as a way to help the younger generation of REALTORS® build a stronger link with the magazine and the real estate industry.

Locally, ACAR launched it’s own YPN network in 2011.

Through networking events, newsletters, a lively blog, and an engaged YPN Committee, the program gives its members the tools they need to advance their careers — and have fun in the process.

ACAR YPN Workgroups

This year's chair and vice-chair have presented the following work groups for YPN. The work groups will each have a leader (identified by the YPN leadership). The leader will report to the full committee on the actions/recommendations of his/her work group.
Member Outreach
This group will facilitate outreach to new members about ACAR andYPN activities. This group may be tapped to present the YP perspective at New Member Orientation on occasion. This workgroup will facilitate member meet up events where all ACAR members are invited to attend and will help all the other workgroups promote their events. They will also contribute ideas for the YPN social media pages.
Professional Development
They will come up with topics, speakers, etc. that are timely and relevant to young professionals. This group will also work to encourage members to apply for the ACAR YP award and OR Leadership Academy and will work in conjunction with other existing ACAR committees, work groups or forums. They will work on and facilitate projects with the ACAR Grievance and Commercial committees.
Community Service
This group will work on and help facilitate the #HomeForAll fundraiser in conjunction with the ACAR Community Outreach Council. They will facilitate the annual Toys for Tots Drive (or similar fundraiser) each November & December. They will also work on any additional community service projects determined by the YPN.
RPAC Event
This group will plan and execute the annual YPN RPAC Fundraiser. The group will develop ways to increase attendance over the prior year’s event and maximize the funds raised for RPAC.
